Happy Holidays from FamilyVacationSurvival.com Helping you to survive and avoid vacation disasters. Traveling with Sick Kids - I think I hold the record for most family vacations with sick children. My kids are notoriously always sick. I have just come to accept the fact that when we travel, they will get sick. This is how I prepare for family trips: 1. Make sure I have the insurance cards 2. Call friends and family I may be visiting and ask them if they have local doctors they would recommend. 3. Look up local doctors using the insurance website and print out phone numbers and addresses. 4. Always bring Tylenol and Motrin 5.
